Do you know any musical illiterates?

Do you have any friends that lack even a basic knowledge of rock music? How does this happen? Didn't they grow up with the same opportunites that we have? One of my peers, upon learning that I went to The Who show in Chicago, could not name a single song by The Who - and he watches CSI!!! How does this happen?!!
