Hitler and World War II?

i know that Adolf Hitler was wrong for the m killing of innocent people during the Holocaust but after knowing a little about his past and how he was rejected and how his father yelled at him, could that be why he was violent and how could that lead to the Holocaust? Basically other than the Holocaust, was he really that bad of a person?
