Why did BBC ignore Harold Pinter's Nobel Lecture?

The news was most likely jealous of his awesomeness. To be honest, the news probably knew it would loose half of its viewer's due to their mentality capacity not being able to maintain the level of smartness that Harold Pinter could vocalize. Thus they choose to broadcast and show a celebrity doing something that no one really cares about.
